Model 3/Y Premium Alloy Phone Mount

This is honestly a premium quality, thoughtful product that strongly holds your (MagSafe-compatible) phone at the perfect spot. Tools are included and it took me 60 seconds to install and position it. It’s worth the money!

This is excellent stable. Doesn’t vibrate around not put in with double face tape it’s put in with a long extended bolt. It’s just it’s the one to buy finally.

Vion took a clever idea (bolting a unique, metal phone holder into the Tesla frame) and made it work beautifully. I am in my 70's and have always delighted in new technology so I can't recall how many average or failed phone holders I've had in order to have cool mapping software in my line of sight while driving. And then along comes Tesla and, Shazam!, I no longer need my phone mounted in front of me! (don't worry, Vion, I'm getting to you).

So after years of reflexively having my phone at the ready what do I do? I instead place my phone at the front of the console and proceed to literally forget about it. Much later I find myself at home wondering where the heck is my phone! It was just too easy to forget it tucked in the console. And since my phone is now my Tesla key, had I been out in public I would have walked away leaving my car unlocked and available for taking. Yikes! I needed a solution and Vion provided it.

I had to have a line of sight phone holder so I wouldn't forget it (and because unsupervised self-driving is around the corner, so I can play with it). My Tesla is a fifty thousand dollar computer on wheels so I'm not about to clamp or glue anything to the screen. And then, cue choir of angels, Vion makes its appearance.

I did have three doubts. First, I don't have an Apple phone which would have a fancy magnetic charging back. Would my simple, humble Android phone even "stick" to the Vion? ( It does! They send two metal rings that are powerful enough for my wife's and my phones to work even when the rings are slipped inside the phone cases, not glued to the back.)

Secondly, looks can be deceiving, just how durable is this? (Very! What you see in their pictures is no exaggeration, whoever designed the holder could easily be a Tesla engineer, it's that solid and noteworthy!).

And finally, this is a big one, how complicated is it to install? After all, we're now taking apart the car! I had no reason to worry. Installation couldn't have been easier. The tool AND special bit are included. I'd say it only took a couple of minutes to remove the armrest screw, then slide the included longer screw through the holder and back into the frame. Done! They include not only written instructions but also a video link that I found most valuable.

It's rare for an accessory to so fully compliment what it is accessorizing. Vion does. The entire experience has created a lot of enjoyment and if the rumor is true that this can be installed on the passenger side too, I'll be making another purchase, just so my wife and I can enjoy longer road trips together. Thank you, Vion.

The quality is outstanding. They even give you the tools to install it professionally. Great placement next to the dash. Looks amazing and compliments the interior. Worth every penny.
